9/21/2023 0 Comments Halloween 3d![]() ![]() The above pumpkin design was 3D designed for printing and features the same flickering candle LED that we used in our flicker boxes. Halloween Pumpkin With Yellow Flickering Candle LED: 1 x CR2032 3V Coin Cell per flicker box.1 x Yellow Flickering Candle 5mm Water Clear LED - 30deg - 5800mCd per flicker box.The candle LEDs mimic how fire flickers and look quite effective, especially when the LEDs are hidden from view as they are in these boxes. To light the box, we took the quick route and taped our LED to a coin cell battery and popped it into the box. This allows the light to get out but hides the LEDs from view. Tips: We glued squares of thin white paper inside of each of the design windows. They can be put on a windowsill or suspended in air by attaching thin string or fishing line. You should be able to source suitable card from any stationers or craft shop. These highly effective little flicker boxes were designed in 2D and then cut with the laser cutter from shiny black card. Near the foot of the article we've also listed some of the other ideas we had that we didn't have time to produce, hopefully some of these ideas will help to inspire your own designs. The Groove Jones team used cutting-edge content design methods, including recreating New York’s icon Time Square in VR (Virtual Reality) so the team could walk out and view their work on the billboard in real-time from their studio in Dallas, Texas. The scale, scope and location of the display prime it for significant social sharing and amplification. This high-definition 4K digital billboard, called the “Digital Godzilla,” stretches an entire block that overlooks New York City’s iconic Times Square. We created this experience to work on a screen located at B roadway – from 45th to 46th Street. Oversized displays that have a corner will work. ![]() ![]() It doesn’t take special digital hardware or technology to make this content work. ![]() The dramatic effect is powerful and is created through a forced perspective illusion. Giant oversized bats fly out as Jack the Reaper reveals himself.įorced Perspective 3D Billboard Located In Times Square Sparks and shards of glass go flying everywhere. Then all of a sudden Jack the Reapers’ skeleton hands tear through the screens. The front and side panel begin to distort and shatter with every punch. Then all of a sudden, a powerful force begins to punch the billboard as if it wants to break out. The animation begins with the Spirit Halloween logo and URL callout. The Groove Jones team was asked to create this eye-catching OOH experience that features Jack the Reaper as he smashes through this oversized digital billboard in New York’s Times Square and reaches out to grab onlookers below. Yes, it looks like a 3D billboard, but it is a forced perspective illusion that we created for Spirit Halloween, and it appeared in Times Square this Halloween season.Ĭheck out the video below to see how it appeared at night and during the day.
